Kaleidoscope, Cuyuna Regional Medical Center’s annual fundraiser for cancer patients, will be the topic of discussion on KKIN Radio’s Community Connection program, 94.3 on the FM dial, Thursday, Oct. 10, from 8 to 8:30 a.m. CRMC Charitable Fund Coordinator Jennifer Podsiadly and Oncology Care Coordinator Jill Wittrock will provide details about the event scheduled for Tuesday evening, Oct. 29, at Ruttger’s Bay Lake Lodge.
The public is invited to boogie the night away while raising money and good vibes to support those facing cancer. Beginning at 6 p.m. there will be a silent auction of numerous items donated by area businesses and individuals followed by far out games of chance, rad contests and grooving to the hits of the 70s. Fabulous soul food will be served and a cash bar of groovy cocktails will be available.
Those attending are encouraged to put on their best bell bottoms, leisure suits, hot pants and platform shoes and join in the evening celebrating life. With a deejay, funky dance floor and stellar contests with prizes, the night is going to be a great night. The lives lost to cancer will be honored, survivors will be recognized with special-colored ribbons and the caregivers who so selflessly help others will be supported
All proceeds from Kaleidoscope benefit the Courage Cabinet which makes the journey a little easier for cancer patients by providing financial assistance to help meet basic needs and allow them to focus on healing. Donations are used to provide things like travel assistance, nutrition supplements, medications, compression garments and more to those in the fight of their lives. Over the past seven years, more than $70,000 in Cabinet funds have been awarded to local patients.
Tickets are $20 in advance at https://CRMC19.givesmart.com. Tickets will also be available for $25 at the door. For more information, please contact Jennifer Podsiadly at jennifer.podsiadly@cuyunamed.org or 218-545-4455.
