CRMC Earns Three National 2026 Women’s Choice Awards

CRMC has earned three 2026 Women’s Choice Award® honors, placing the organization among the nation’s top-performing hospitals for emergency care timeliness, minimally invasive surgery, and obstetric care.

The Women’s Choice Award® is a national designation that helps women identify hospitals that excel in clinical quality, patient safety, and patient experience.

National Recognition for Emergency Care

CRMC was recognized as one of America’s Best Hospitals for Emergency Timeliness, ranking in the top 5% of more than 4,600 U.S. hospitals offering emergency care services. The award recognizes hospitals that provide timely emergency treatment while also earning high patient recommendation scores.

Excellence in Maternity Care

In addition, CRMC was recognized as one of America’s Best Hospitals for Obstetrics, ranking in the top 2% of hospitals nationwide offering obstetric services. The award is based on measures including patient recommendation ratings, infection and complication rates, low rates of early elective deliveries, and other indicators of maternal and newborn safety.

Leader in Minimally Invasive Surgery

The medical center also earned the designation as one of America’s Best Hospitals for Minimally Invasive Surgery, placing it in the top 1% of hospitals nationwide. This recognition highlights hospitals that provide advanced surgical techniques associated with shorter hospital stays, fewer complications, faster recovery, and reduced pain and scarring.

“These recognitions are more than awards—they reflect the trust our patients place in us and the commitment our physicians, nurses, and staff make every day to provide safe, innovative, and compassionate care,” said Amy Hart, CEO of Cuyuna Regional Medical Center. “Whether welcoming a new family, guiding a patient through surgery, or providing timely emergency care when every second matters, these achievements demonstrate what is possible when talented people work together with a shared purpose. We are honored to be recognized for the exceptional care our team delivers to our patients and community every day.”

“Emergency departments can be incredibly stressful—especially for the elderly or a parent with a sick or injured child,” said Delia Passi, founder and CEO of the Women’s Choice Award. “In those critical moments, time becomes more precious than gold. The ER is a place where every second matters, and swift, informed decisions can save lives. That’s why we honor hospitals that not only deliver care quickly but also earn high patient recommendation scores, demonstrating their commitment to both efficiency and compassion when it matters most.”

How the Awards Are Determined

The Women’s Choice Award rankings are based on objective measures including patient satisfaction, clinical performance, safety outcomes, and quality data reported through the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and other nationally recognized organizations.

In 2026:

  • Only 463 hospitals nationwide received the Emergency Timeliness award.
  • Only 538 hospitals earned the Minimally Invasive Surgery award.
  • Only 591 hospitals were recognized for Obstetrics.

These national recognitions reflect CRMC’s commitment to providing exceptional care across every stage of the patient journey, from emergency treatment and advanced surgery to welcoming the newest members of the community.
