CRMC Earns Top 5-Star Rating for Patient Experience
Cuyuna Regional Medical Center (CRMC) has earned a 5-star patient survey rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), placing CRMC among a select group of Minnesota hospitals and just 250 hospitals nationwide recognized with the highest rating.
The CMS rating is based on patient feedback collected through the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey. The national survey asks patients about their experiences during a recent hospital stay, including communication with doctors and nurses, responsiveness of hospital staff, communication about medications, cleanliness and quietness, and their overall rating of the hospital.
CRMC’s 5-star rating is based on HCAHPS patient experience data collected from October 2024 through September 2025. The national recognition was also highlighted by Becker’s Hospital Review.
A 5-Star Experience, According to Our Patients
For CRMC, the recognition reflects more than a national rating. It represents feedback directly from the patients and families who experience CRMC’s care.
“Being recognized among just 250 hospitals nationwide with a 5-Star Patient Survey Rating is an incredible honor. Most importantly, it reflects what our patients experience every day: exceptional clinical care paired with the personal attention that makes people feel seen, heard and cared for. I’m incredibly proud of our medical staff and entire team for creating that kind of experience for every patient who walks through our doors,” said Amy Hart, CEO at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center.
The 5-star rating reinforces CRMC’s commitment to providing high-quality care while creating an experience where patients feel listened to, respected and supported throughout their care.
