We’re nearing the dog days of summer making it the perfect time to savor lake days, BBQs, golf outings, and those signature Brainerd Lakes sunsets. We’re also less than a month away from the highly anticipated CRMC Championship presented by Northern Pacific Center, taking place August 24 – 30 at Cragun’s Resort.

The CRMC Championship is a premier PGA TOUR Americas event that brings 156 of the world’s top rising professional golfers to Cragun’s Legacy Courses in Brainerd, Minnesota. As players compete for the title, they are also earning valuable PGA TOUR Americas Points in pursuit of Korn Ferry Tour membership and the opportunity to advance to the PGA TOUR. Beyond the competition, this week-long celebration of championship golf, community, and local pride offers something for everyone, with exciting activities on and off the course.

Event Highlights

Monday, August 25: Fore! Charity Golf Tournament
Tee off at 1 p.m. at Cragun’s Legacy Courses – Lehman 18 for an 18-hole best ball scramble, benefiting the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center (CRMC) Foundation. Participants will enjoy interacting with six PGA TOUR Americas professionals, each hosting a specialty hole. Sign up to play. 

Wednesday, August 27: Official Pro-Am
The always popular Official Pro-Am pairs four-player teams with the pros on the front and back 9, with a single-digit handicapper adding expertise to the mix. This event is sold out, but spectators are encouraged to come watch!

Spectator Perks & Challenges

Thanks to Thrivent Financial, spectators can catch all the action on the greens free of charge. Don’t miss the Hole in One Contest, and a chance to win up to $500 in cash or prizes! Sponsored by the Brainerd American Legion Post 255, all proceeds benefit the CRMC Foundation, helping provide financial assistance to local patients and families, enhance healthcare services, and ensure compassionate, high-quality care remains close to home.

Thursday, August 27: First Responders Day | NFL Jersey Day

• First 100 Responders receive complimentary VIP tickets, enjoy access from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., including complimentary food and drink.
• Wear your favorite NFL jersey in support of MN sports teams. From the ice and turf to the tee box, Minnesota Wild players Matt Boldy and Ryan Hartman, along with former Minnesota Vikings star Adam Thielen, are taking the course as professionals at this year’s CRMC Championship!
• Round 1 of the CRMC Championship begins with 156 players from around the world

Friday, August 28: Ladies Night | RED Friday (Show Your Support for Our Troops)
As the competition intensifies and the field is cut to the top 60 players (plus ties), the fun continues:

• Wear your RED with pride and honor our service men and women. R.E.D. stands for Remember Everyone Deployed.
• First 100 Responders receive complimentary VIP tickets, enjoy access from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., including complimentary food and drink.
• Round 2 of the CRMC Championship continues, with players getting cut.
• Ladies Night: Featuring DJ YS (Official DJ of the MN Wild).

Saturday, August 29: Round 3 & Saturday Night Jam
The pressure rises as players enter Round 3, and the day wraps up with the Clow Stamping Co. Saturday Night Jam, featuring Jacuzzi Puma and fireworks to follow.

Sunday, August 30: Final Round & Seniors Day
CRMC Championship concludes Sunday afternoon on the green at hole 18.

• Seniors Day: Guests 55+ receive 50% off VIP tickets.
• Celebrate the champion as they raise the unique Paul Bunyan’s Axe trophy.
• Stick around for a special check presentation to the CRMC Foundation, recognizing the tournament’s direct impact on local healthcare.
