About This Provider:

Shelly Hanson began working at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in 1997 as a Registered Nurse. She worked as a staff/charge nurse on the Medical/Surgical and Obstetrics units, then in Care Management, and currently in Diabetes Education. Hanson earned her Registered Nurse license and Bachelor of Science degree at Union College in Lincoln, Neb. She returned to school and in 2009 completed her Master of Arts degree at the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minn., and is now a certified Clinical Nurse Specialist.  Hanson is also a Certified Diabetes Educator and a Certified Pump Trainer. Her previous experience includes working as a nurse at Brainerd Regional Human Service Center and Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital and Bryan Memorial Hospital, both in Lincoln, Neb.  She is a member of the American Diabetes Association and the American Association of Diabetes Educators.
