“I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes eight years ago, but this doesn't stop me. I play volleyball and I’m a dancer on our high school dance team. Managing this condition isn’t easy and it costs a lot of money. We need to buy many medical items including insulin and we have to make regular trips every three months to the cities for my ongoing appointments because we don't have any specialists in our area who can treat kids with diabetes. With the help of the money raised from Because of Brandon, we have been lucky to receive gas cards and gift cards for a meal while we are there to help make our trips to my appointments less expensive for my parents.”
