A fundraiser for Type 1 Diabetes patients in memory of Brandon Houge of Ironton, Minn., who unexpectedly passed away from complications of diabetes in December 2015. All proceeds benefit Brandon’s Wallet which helps area diabetes patients with non-medical needs such as gas cards for pediatric travel to Children's Hospital in the Twin Cities to meet with a pediatric endocrinologist, camp scholarships to Camp Needlepoint for youth ages 8 to 17, and financial assistance to diabetes patients who may need help with their insulin and glucose testing supplies due to social determinants. Charity ATV Ride for Because of Brandon

Saturday, July 22, 2023, Cole Lake Cabin Shelter Trailhead

Join the Cuyuna Iron Range Riders ATV Club for their annual charity ride benefiting Because of Brandon on Saturday, July 22. The event will start at 9 a.m. at the Cole Lake Cabin Shelter Trailhead. Trail location, take County Road 30, four miles north of Ironton, turn left on Old Manganese Road, and follow the dirt road to the Cole Lake Cabin Shelter, fire number 19807.

The club will provide a light lunch following the ride. For more information on the ride, visit the Cuyuna Iron Range Riders. To help patients with Type 1 Diabetes, donate now.

Erin's Wish

Saturday, July 27, 2024, Town Tavern

Erin's Wish, a fund-raiser benefitting the Courage Cabinet, will take place in Ironton on Saturday, July 27.

The festivities begin at the Town Tavern at 9 a.m. with a motorcycle run, then at 10 a.m., a variety of food and kids' games will be available. Take a shot and dunk a local celebrity in the dunk tank at noon, then join the bags tournament with prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places at 2 p.m., a meat raffle at 2:00 p.m., and a live concert with the band Get Over It at 7 p.m. 

A raffle with $2,000 in prizes is also being held. Tickets are $5 each and are now available at the Town Tavern and American Legion in Ironton, Crosby-Ironton Courier in Crosby, and the Deerstand in Deerwood. The top three prizes are $1,000, $500, and $250. Winners will be announced on Saturday evening, July 27.

CRMC Championship presented by Gertens

August 25 - September 1, 2024, Cragun’s Legacy Courses

The CRMC Championship is the only PGA TOUR Canada event in the U.S. This event attracts 156 players from around the world, runs with the support of 250 community volunteers, and has an impact that travels far beyond the ball. Funds raised benefit the CRMC Foundation to support the most critical needs for health care in our community. Cruising for Charity 

Sunday, August 25, Cragun's Resort on Gull Lake

 

Join us on Sunday, August 25,  for an evening of merriment and giving as we sail on the blue waters of Gull Lake. 

We will kick off the CRMC Championship week aboard the luxurious North Star with Gull Lake Cruises. Enjoy this exclusive event with mouth-water bon voyage cuisine, premium libations, sipping on Chloe wines, and listening to live music. All proceeds from this private cruise benefit CRMC's Foundation.

Because the number of those diagnosed with cancer in the area has increased substantially, many patients undergoing treatment battling for their lives need support. Tree of Love

December 2024 

Tree of Love is a special fundraiser memorializing and honoring loved ones that benefits CRMC Hospice. Memorials and gifts make compassionate, end-of-life care available to people in the area who have a terminal illness, regardless of their ability to pay. The 38th annual Tree of Love lighting and dedication took place on Saturday, Dec. 3 at Crosby’s Memorial Park and a memorial service was held on Tuesday, Dec. 6. The names of those being remembered or honored can be viewed here.
