Trophy Fish Award

Employees caught going above and beyond CRMC’s CAN-DO values to promote patient care and satisfaction.

Cornerstone employee Cary Leblanc of Emily recently received Cuyuna Regional Medical Center’s Trophy Fish Award for going above and beyond in her job duties. On the day of the Heartwood tragedy, Leblanc stepped up in every way possible and showed so much dedication during a very difficult time. Once she heard what happened, she immediately sent breakfast and coffee to the EMS/police and medical examiner. Then she took it upon herself to start lunch for the crews, all with no direction and no questions asked. Later, because the Heartwood kitchen was not available, she and others dropped everything and started an assembly line to prepare 70 lunches for Heartwood residents.

Cuyuna Regional Medical Center Care Center LPN Joyce Moore of Crosby last week received the organization’s Trophy Fish Award. She recently stepped up to offer assistance in administering tamiflu to prevent further spread of the flu among residents. She checked records of 60 residents, ordered appropriate testing and provided doses, staying several hours past her shift on a Friday. She came in on Saturday morning to finish and ended up staying all day to get residents appropriately treated. Her willingness to help the team and residents was so appreciated. She did so without hesitation and without complaint. Her nominator wrote, “She is such as asset. We are so happy to have her on the TCU/Care Center team!”
