Leo Y. Chough, MD

Dr. Chough is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of the University of Washington in Seattle. He received his medical degree from Washington University in St. Louis, MO and performed his general and orthopaedic surgical residencies at Washington University and Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

While completing his residency, Dr. Chough trained under the team physicians for the St. Louis Rams, Cardinals, and Blues. Dr. Chough was awarded a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania and Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. During this time, he served as assistant team physician to both the National Football League’s Philadelphia Eagles and the National Hockey League’s Philadelphia Flyers.

Dr. Chough has had extensive experience in arthroscopic, reconstructive, and minimally invasive surgery. Areas of specialty include anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction, meniscal repair, rotator cuff tears, tennis elbow, shoulder instability, and total joint replacement of all joints. He is certified in muscle sparing and minimally invasive total joint replacement for the hip and knee and performs a minimally invasive total shoulder replacement. Dr. Chough joined the medical campus in Crosby in 2000.
