Free mammograms and health information at evening clinic on December 8
(Crosby, MN) - The Cuyuna Riverwood Breast Health Alliance will host a free mammogram clinic for women 40 years old and older on December 8 at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
The clinic is free for women who do not have health insurance, have a high deductible or have not had a mammogram for several years. Mammograms can often find breast cancer before it can be felt and when combined with a clinical breast exam, the chances for finding breast cancer are even greater.
Services offered during the free clinic will include a digital mammogram, a clinical breast exam and a pap test if needed. Every patient will meet with a CRMC family medicine physician. Information on breast health, nutrition, incontinence treatments, walking programs, and lymphedema will be provided by medical staff.
The free mammogram clinic is made possible in part through a partnership with Susan G. Komen for the Cure ®. Limited appointments are available. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call (218) 546-7000, ext. 2135.
